It has been designed to use the papercraft technique of decoupage, which is the art of building up layers to create a design. On the Cake Lace mat itself there are different sizes of flowers and a small stamen which can be used alone or stacked on top of each other to create more dimensional, multi coloured flowers (as you can see in the pictures).
