Apple green with yellowish variegation, the leaves take on a light veneer of red and a dark veneer of purple burgundy, with burgundy tips. The leaves are suffused with faint spots and dots that become more pronounced at anthesis when the plant blushes rosy red in the center and the spots are whitish.
