it can adapt to full sun conditions where the foliage can blush bright red

There is a slightly dark red color at anthesis

Nidularium 'Mystery' purple flower A new large growing hybridThis is a form of Nid. innocentii that was given this name by Bullis Bromeliads. A medium large grower to about 24 x 24 inches. Very leafy in a full, symmetrical, open rosette. The foliage is light green with creamy, yellowish white variegation up the center of each leaf. At anthesis the inflorescence is pinkish red.
