Her father Frederick Alfred Rhead began his career as an apprentice at Mintons where he learnt the art of pâte-sur-pâte ceramic decoration from Marc-Louis Solon

otherwise excellent condition

Rhead went on to work at a number of potteries including a failed venture of his own

No obvious damage but small glaze dent at approx 4 o'clock on edge rim

featuring the famous Royal Doulton figure Buttercup sculpted by Peggy Davies in 1964 - was designed to be displayed as a companion to the iconic figurine

There is a slither chip on the inner rim of the handle, it does not significantly detract from the display amenity of a piece that is now approaching 200 years of age
