It is made in the traditional Osaka style. Its constructed from a mix of Keyaki, (Red Elm Zelkova) on the drawers and door fronts, and Hinoki, (Cypress wood )on the front framework. The "box" is made from Sugi, (Cryptomeria). As with most Japanese furniture, the carpentry is excellent and although it is lightweight, it is extremely well made. It has very functional
