English Cottage Tile by Muresque Trent A lovely Mid Century ModernA beautiful California Arts and Crafts era tile by Muresque (1925 1934) of Oakland California. The tile is pictured in its catalog as "no. 81 English Cottage 6" x 6" and is colored in soft engobe glazes like its competitor Claycraft. There is a thatch roofed English cottage under a tree. A walkway passes through billowing shrubbery to a gated fence. It is all done in intricate detail and craftsmanship. The tile measures 5 7 8" square and 3 4" thick.
