This piece was collected in 1977 out of a very small pocket that only produced a limited amount of good Apatite specimens

and not filled with crazing

The piece is highlighted at the top by a wonderful dodecahedral crystal of Copper with both smooth well-formed positive faces and skeletal or "hoppered" negative faces

but the quality of the Sphalerite crystals on this specimen is better than the vast majority of Sphalerites to come out of the Eagle Mine (more properly the New Jersey Zinc Eagle Mine)

Diaspore (rare) Hemimorphite This piece was collected inThis Diaspore is a beautiful "Brilliant Trillion" cut gem with very very slight inclusions and a gentle purplish pink hue in incandescent lighting but shows more of a yellow pink hue in LED lighting. Outdoors, the color is more of a pure pink, with no purple overtones. The fact that the stone is over 1 carat makes it a collector quality gemstone. When it comes to gem quality Diaspore, most people are familiar with the sandy colored gems from Turkey
