Its rich deep green leaves turn dark yellow in fall. The profuse clusters of frilly flowers that bloom along the joints are white regardless of the soil PH, and bloom throughout summer attracting pollinators. While it can tolerate full sun, its best blooms are in part sun and rich, moist well drained acidic soils.
