Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a plaque bearing a raised number 50 on a blackened background, overlaid by a Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, situated above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with four visible rivets securing the eagle in position, with a crimped barrel hinge and
