Constructed of gilt bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath joined at the bottom with a horseshoe inscribed with a raised R, with a central mounted horse, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked L. CHRISTIAN LAUER, NRNBERG, measuring 42. 08 mm (w) x 52. 02 mm (h), weighing 16. 0 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
