My presentiment was true

and the blade bears a maker’s mark near the reverse ricasso of “WKC” for Weyersburg

the Order is conferred to foreigners and Spanish citizens for meritorious civil acts

with the enamels well preserved without chipping but with moderate scratches from period wear

Germany, Heer. A Mint Tropical Cap Eagle for Enlisted Ranks Newly Listed Instituted on 7 April 1815(Heer Tropen Mtzenadler fr Mannschaften). Constructed of brown rayon, the obverse overlaid by a layer of golden brown rayon, in turn bearing a machine embroidered silver grey Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 90 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), in unissued and near mint condition.
