Constructed of off white paper stock and presented in multi coloured ink, named to WALTHER HIERSEMENZEL, promoting the recipient from the rank of Oberstleutnant to Oberst, issued from Fhrer Headquarters on 18 January 1942 with an effective date of 1 February, certified by the facsimile signature of AH and the handwritten signature of Generalfeldmarschall Wilhelm Keitel (Knights Cross of
