Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with a raised central leftward facing profile of King Wilhelm I, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse with a central Prussian Imperial Eagle flying over a boat and seascape, the arms with an inscription of ALSEN 29.
